Former Cyber Company CEO Sentenced to 10 Years for Sexual Abuse of Minors
Ittai Levi, the former CEO of the cybersecurity firm Carnelius, was convicted of sexually abusing minors aged 4 to 12 and sentenced to ten years in prison. The conviction followed a plea deal and stemmed from an investigation that began last year after authorities received a report alleging sexual offenses against a child. During the investigation, authorities discovered photos and videos in Levi's possession indicating serious crimes involving more than five victims.
Levi, a resident of Modiin, was found to have stored evidence on his mobile phone and other storage devices. The father of one victim, who spoke in an interview with Esti Perez Ben Ami on Kan News, described how his four-year-old son disclosed abuse by Levi, who was a neighbor and whose child was friends with his son. The father recounted recording a conversation in which the child described being lured with candy and threatened not to tell his mother.
The father praised the police investigation, which uncovered camera evidence and additional testimonies, revealing Levi's long-term predatory behavior. He expressed deep distrust in people following the trauma and noted that thanks to his son's courage, the police, and social workers, the abuse was proven. The extent of Levi's offenses and the total number of victims remain unknown.
