IDF: Militants Who Fled Tunnels Beneath Beaufort Were Eliminated

During an operation by the Egoz unit to locate shafts and underground routes beneath the Beaufort Ridge, a drone operated by the Yahalom unit spotted militants in one of the routes, the IDF spokesperson said. The spokesperson added that the militants fled and fired at the drone, and were then eliminated by the Air Force.

In addition, during the clearing of the tunnel network, numerous weapons were found, including mortar shells, fragmentation grenades, RPG launchers, Kornet missiles, anti-aircraft machine guns and Kalashnikov rifles.
