IDF Soldier Sentenced to Five Years for Sharing Interception Videos with Iranian Agent
An Israeli military court sentenced an IDF soldier to five years in prison after he admitted to contacting a foreign agent and providing information that could benefit the enemy. The soldier was convicted of sending two videos showing missile interceptions during Operation "With the Lion" to an Iranian foreign agent in exchange for payment. The investigation, launched jointly by the Military Police Investigations Unit, the Military Intelligence Directorate, and the Shin Bet, revealed that in 2025 the soldier received Telegram messages from various sources, some linked to Iran, offering him different job opportunities. In addition to the prison sentence, the soldier was fined 1,000 shekels and demoted to the rank of private.
