Israeli Police Arrest Six Youths Suspected in Jerusalem Murder Investigation
Israeli police arrested six suspects overnight Sunday in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old in Jerusalem's Nahalat neighborhood. The detainees include five youths aged 16 to 18, among them girls, and one adult woman believed to have assisted the suspects but not directly involved in the killing. Jerusalem District Commander, Commissioner Avshalom Peled, visited the crime scene Sunday evening and held a special situation assessment. The investigation is being led by the Crime Fighting Unit of the Zion Division in the Jerusalem district. The suspects are currently under interrogation and will be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court later today for a detention extension hearing.
Additional violent incidents occurred Sunday: a 32-year-old man was shot on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa and hospitalized, while two men aged 30 and 35 were stabbed in Haifa and remain in serious condition. Authorities are also investigating a case where a woman was found dead with signs of violence at her home, initially linked to a road dispute that escalated to stabbing and possibly murder.
