Six Teen Suspects Arrested in Jerusalem Youth Murder Investigation
Six Jewish teenagers aged 17 to 18 were arrested overnight Sunday in connection with the stabbing death of a 19-year-old Jewish youth in Jerusalem's Nahalat neighborhood. The victim was stabbed during a violent incident in a vacation apartment, where two people were injured. Emergency medical teams treated the victim, who was critically wounded and transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Another individual was hospitalized with a stab wound to the hand.
The investigation was led by the Crime Fighting Unit of the Zion District, in cooperation with Jerusalem District forces, following a rapid manhunt and investigative efforts. Jerusalem District Commander Commissioner Avshalom Peled held a special situation assessment at the scene and ordered all necessary measures to locate and arrest those involved.
The suspects were transferred for interrogation by the investigative unit and are expected to appear in Jerusalem Magistrate's Court later today for a detention extension hearing. The investigation remains ongoing to uncover the full circumstances of the crime.
