Six Suspects Arrested After Fatal Stabbing of 19-Year-Old in Jerusalem Airbnb
Israeli police arrested six suspects overnight in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man during a fight in the Nahalat neighborhood of Jerusalem. The victim was stabbed inside an Airbnb apartment on Shirizli Street on Saturday evening. Eyewitnesses reported the attack, and emergency services received the call at 19:02. Paramedics found the victim unconscious with severe penetrating wounds and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts before transporting him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police indicated the altercation had a criminal background and forensic investigators were dispatched to the scene. Jerusalem District Commander Asaf Solomon and his deputy arrived to oversee the investigation, which was assigned to the Crime Fighting Unit in the Zion area. The victim was found stabbed in the upper body while lying on a bed.
Local resident Aharon told reporters he had previously alerted police about ongoing drug dealing, prostitution, and disorder in the building but was told it was not their jurisdiction. He expressed frustration over what he described as lawlessness in the neighborhood and said the fatal stabbing was unfortunately predictable given the lack of enforcement. The arrested suspects are expected to be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court later today for an extension of their detention.
