Six Arrested in Jerusalem Over Fatal Stabbing of 19-Year-Old Amid Nationwide Violence Surge

Six suspects were detained overnight on suspicion of involvement in the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old at a vacation apartment in Jerusalem's Nahlaot neighborhood. The suspects were transferred to the investigative unit and are expected to appear today at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a remand extension hearing. Police continue to investigate the incident.

The stabbing is part of a broader wave of violence across Israel. Yesterday, two men in their 30s were seriously injured in a stabbing during a fight in Haifa. Earlier the same day, a 32-year-old man was critically wounded in Jaffa's Jerusalem Boulevard. Magen David Adom paramedics reported the victim was found unconscious with severe penetrating injuries and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Last Tuesday, a man in his 50s was shot dead in Jadida-Makr in the Western Galilee, with another man aged 30 seriously injured. Paramedic Shilat Farkash described providing life-saving treatment before evacuating the injured man to the hospital in serious condition. On the same day in Tamra, Lower Galilee, 33-year-old Yasser Abu Elhija was fatally shot, and a 29-year-old was seriously wounded. Paramedic Adnan Abu Romi recounted performing resuscitation on the unconscious victim who was evacuated in critical condition, while the other injured man was also taken to the hospital seriously wounded.
