15-Year-Old Injured in Jerusalem Stabbing, Suspect Arrested After Police Raid
A 15-year-old boy was stabbed overnight between Thursday and Friday during a fight in Jerusalem’s Shmuel HaNavi neighborhood, according to police and Magen David Adom. He was taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in moderate condition with a penetrating wound.
Police said the suspected attacker fled the scene after the assault. Jerusalem District officers launched an investigation and wide searches, saying the suspected motive was a dispute that escalated in the area.
In a quick operation, the youth investigation team from the Lev HaBira station reached the suspect’s home. When people inside refused to open the door or respond to police calls, officers broke in.
Police found and arrested the suspect inside the apartment. He is also 15 and a resident of the city. He was taken to Lev HaBira station for questioning, and police plan to bring him later in the day to court for an extension of his detention. MDA said it received the report at 11:18 p.m. and sent medics and paramedics to the scene.
