15-Year-Old Stabbed in Jerusalem, Suspect Arrested After Police Chase
A 15-year-old boy was stabbed overnight on Shmuel HaNavi Street in Jerusalem and taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in moderate condition. Medical responders said he suffered a penetrating wound to the abdomen and received initial treatment at the scene before evacuation.
Police said the suspected attacker, also a 15-year-old Jerusalem resident, fled immediately after the stabbing. Officers launched extensive searches and opened an investigation, saying the likely background was a dispute that escalated at the scene.
In a rapid operation, detectives from the Lev HaBira station’s youth unit reached the suspect’s home. When the people inside refused repeated requests to open the door, police forced their way into the apartment.
The suspect was found inside and arrested. He was taken to the Lev HaBira station for questioning, and police said they intend to bring him later Tuesday for a remand hearing.
