Israel Shares New Intelligence With US on Iranian Plot to Assassinate Trump

Israel recently provided the United States with fresh intelligence indicating that Iranian officials discussed plans to assassinate former President Donald Trump. A senior American official confirmed to N12 that Israel transmitted this information amid escalating public calls in Iran for Trump’s death, particularly following the funeral of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has long vowed to retaliate against Trump for the killing of Qassem Soleimani, a top commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, during Trump’s first term. During a visit to Turkey, Trump himself acknowledged threats against his life, stating, "They want to kill the leader of the United States, me. I’m on all their lists." He added that he had been fortunate so far but implied the danger might persist.

At Khamenei’s funeral, mourners openly chanted for Trump’s death and displayed signs declaring, "We will kill Trump." One speaker declared that avenging the killing of their leader was a sacred duty, emphasizing that they would never abandon their quest for revenge.
