Two Men Arrested for Alleged Rape of Volunteer in Beit Shemesh
Two men in their twenties were arrested on suspicion of raping a young woman they met during volunteer work with Magen David Adom (MDA). The incident reportedly took place in November 2025 in Beit Shemesh. The police launched a covert investigation following a report from the Center for Victims of Sexual Assault, which stated that the woman was brought to an apartment where the suspects allegedly forced her to have sexual relations against her will. The victim knew the suspects through their shared volunteer activities with MDA.
The investigation remained undercover for several weeks until it transitioned to an open phase on Wednesday, when the two suspects were detained by police officers. After questioning, they were remanded in custody. The suspects are scheduled to appear today at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, where the police will request an extension of their detention. The investigation is ongoing.
