Inter Milan Nears Agreement to Sign Israeli Winger Anan Khalaily from Union Saint-Gilloise
Italian media continue to closely follow the transfer saga of Israeli winger Anan Khalaily, with reports indicating that the gap between Inter Milan and Union Saint-Gilloise over the transfer fee has narrowed significantly. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, both Inter and Napoli have reached preliminary agreements with Khalaily, but the Belgian club insists on a fee slightly above 25 million euros. Inter is reportedly pushing to finalize the deal for around 23 million euros plus bonuses. Khalaily is expected to earn just over 1.5 million euros per season at Inter.
Napoli initially secured an agreement with Khalaily but had to delay the transfer due to the need to sell players before completing the deal, allowing Inter to step in. Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Inter has a direct agreement with the player and is negotiating directly with Union Saint-Gilloise, without intermediaries, which could expedite the transfer. The direct communication between the clubs and the player's agent suggests the deal could close soon.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio added that Khalaily's agent recently met with Inter executives Piero Ausilio and Giuseppe Marotta in Milan, agreeing on financial terms and the transfer itself. The next step is to finalize the agreement with the Belgian club, which is seeking a replacement for Denzel Dumfries. Khalaily has been Inter's top target, especially after Federico Dimarco's move to Chelsea, and negotiations are now entering a decisive phase.
