Additional Complaint Filed Against Suspect Who Filmed in Fitting Room on Suspicion of Rape

An additional complaint has been filed against the suspect who filmed a social media influencer in a fitting room at a mall in Tel Aviv, on suspicion of rape, according to our reporter Mylan Amar. The suspect, a 25-year-old Tel Aviv resident, will be brought before a judge for an extension of his detention. The police continue a broad investigation to collect evidence.

Developments in the investigation of the suspect who filmed the social media influencer in the fitting room at the Tel Aviv mall: this morning, Thursday, just one day after the suspect, a 25-year-old Tel Aviv resident, was arrested, another rape complaint was filed against the same detainee by a different complainant. In the coming hours, the suspect will be brought before a judge for a detention extension, after which the investigation will continue.

As recalled, last night police forces arrested the suspect who was documented filming a young woman, a social media influencer, in a fitting room at a mall in Tel Aviv, on suspicion of committing serious offenses of privacy violations and alleged sex offenses. The arrest came after an investigation being conducted in recent days at the police station, and after the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court issued an arrest warrant against him.

The suspect was transferred for a comprehensive investigation at the police station, where he was questioned about the allegations against him. At the end of the questioning, and in light of the serious suspicions, it was decided to detain him. The police continue to collect evidence and build the case against him. Tomorrow, the suspect is expected to be brought before the court, where the police will ask to extend his detention. This is in order to allow the investigation to continue and prevent obstruction of proceedings.

The case began when, about a week ago, Shir Weiss, a young woman from Tel Aviv, revealed that, according to her, she was filmed while trying on clothes in a fitting room at a Bershka store in the TLV Mall in the city. According to her, during her time in the fitting room she noticed a cell phone pointed toward her from the adjacent booth, and began shouting and confronting the suspect, who, she said, denied the act. Following her complaint, a police investigation was opened, during which the suspect's photo was also published to assist the public in identifying and locating him.
