Tel Aviv District prosecutors filed an indictment on Wednesday in Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court against 25-year-old Gur Levi, accusing him of indecent acts and violating privacy after he filmed women and girls inside fitting rooms at TLV Mall and secretly recorded a sexual act. The prosecution also asked that he remain detained until the end of proceedings.
According to the indictment, filed by attorney Sapir Sharon, Levi entered the Bershka clothing store at the mall, took several items of clothing, and went into the fitting rooms. While there, he used his mobile phone to film the adjacent cubicles where women and girls were changing clothes.
A separate count alleges that Levi violated the privacy of a woman with whom he had consensual sex in a Tel Aviv club restroom in 2024. He allegedly recorded the encounter on his phone without her knowledge and sent her the video two years later via WhatsApp. After receiving it, she went to the police and filed a complaint.
The main investigation in which Levi had been suspected of rape was not included in the current indictment. People familiar with the case said that decision was made because the evidence was weak, while stressing that the review of that allegation is still ongoing and no final decision has been made.
Earlier this week, Walla published exclusive footage from the store showing Levi in the fitting-room area, lifting his hand with what appeared to be a mobile phone. That video was handed to the prosecution and became part of the evidence in the case.
