An indictment was filed Wednesday against Gur Levi, 25, for indecent acts and invasion of privacy after he allegedly filmed women and girls changing in fitting rooms at the TLV Mall in Tel Aviv. Prosecutors also asked that he remain in custody until the end of proceedings.
According to the indictment, filed by attorney Sapir Sharon of the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor’s Office, Levi went to the Bershka store at TLV Mall, took several items of clothing, and entered a fitting room under the pretense of trying them on. While inside, he allegedly used his cellphone to record adjacent stalls where women and girls were changing clothes.
The indictment also says Levi invaded a woman’s privacy in 2024 after the two had consensual sex in a club restroom in Tel Aviv. He allegedly filmed the sexual act on his phone without her knowledge or consent, then sent her the video on WhatsApp about two years later.
Levi, a Tel Aviv resident, was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of filming girls in the mall’s fitting rooms. A day after his photo and details were published, he was caught in a Florentin apartment after young women who recognized him contacted police. Following the exposure, an additional rape complaint was filed against him. He was questioned, detained, and his remand was extended. Levi admitted being involved in the filming incidents, but denied recording the complainants while they were naked in the fitting room. Investigators say they hold incriminating evidence that contradicts his account.
