Israeli troops wounded in South Lebanon clash after militant throws grenade
Two Israeli officers and two soldiers were wounded on Thursday night in an encounter with a militant in southern Lebanon. The incident took place near Beit Yahoun, where the militant approached an IDF force, threw a grenade and injured members of the unit. The force returned fire and killed him.
According to the report, one officer was moderately wounded, while a second officer and the two soldiers were lightly wounded. The force involved was a combat team from the 769th Brigade.
Separately, the 91st Division's Fire Brigade carried out artillery and air strikes on several Hezbollah targets in the area. Lebanese media reported multiple Israeli strikes overnight, including two in Beit Yahoun near Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
This morning, reports also said strikes were carried out in the area of al-Nabatiyah al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.
