El Al said it is temporarily suspending service on its Tel Aviv-Moscow route for the coming days, citing recent developments in the Russia-Ukraine war and recent aviation incidents in the region.
In a statement, the airline said, "Due to developments between Russia and Ukraine and the recent aviation events in the area, El Al is forced to suspend its activity on the Tel Aviv-Moscow route for the next few days." It added that a new situation assessment will be carried out next week, after which the company will decide whether to resume flights.
Passengers will be updated and will be offered different options in accordance with the law, the airline said. The announcement came after a wide wave of drone attacks in the Moscow area in recent weeks, which caused repeated shutdowns at all of the Russian capital's major airports.
