The IDF said Wednesday that a defense ministry contractor was killed in an operational accident in northern Gaza. The man, identified as Salama, died when a structure collapsed onto the engineering vehicle he was in during work in the area.
According to the military, the incident happened during engineering activity aimed at flattening terrain. As part of those operations, the minaret of a mosque collapsed onto the excavator he was operating, killing him at the scene.
