Hapoel Jerusalem has exercised its option on center back Tamir Haimovich, who will remain with the club for two more years. The decision comes after a difficult season in which the team stayed in the Israeli Premier League only one round before the end of the campaign.
Haimovich was one of the pillars of Jerusalem’s defense last season. He made 23 league appearances, scored one goal, and was considered one of the team’s key performers at the back.
The extension is even more important after the departure of captain Oukawa Ashta. Ashta left the club after several significant seasons, and the team is now trying to preserve continuity in the rest of the squad as it prepares for the next campaign.
Hapoel Jerusalem has already begun its preparations for next season and will look to avoid another struggle near the bottom of the table.
