Saudi Arabia Omits Israel in Statement on Flydubai Emergency Landing

Saudi Arabia has officially commented for the first time on the conclusion of an incident involving a Flydubai flight that made an emergency landing in Tabuk. The statement, issued by the administration of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk, confirmed that the situation with flight FZ1073 is resolved and all passengers have left Saudi Arabia. Two other aircraft were used to transport the passengers to their intended destination, departing Tabuk at 17:40. Notably, the official statement from the Saudi airport administration did not mention Israel, the flight's original destination. Instead of directly naming the country, the airport referred to the passengers' "final destination." Flight FZ1073 had departed from Dubai bound for Ben Gurion Airport in Israel when it diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, due to an emergency in the cockpit.

The airport administration emphasized that its actions adhered to the requirements of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation and international agreements concerning the safety of passengers, crews, and air transport. This incident follows a previous report by "Cursor" regarding a statement made by Katz after the Flydubai onboard incident.
