Flydubai Passengers Refuse Rescue Flight, Demand Israeli Evacuation
A portion of passengers from a flydubai flight that made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, have refused to board a replacement aircraft from the same airline. They are insisting on being evacuated back to Israel by an Israeli carrier. One passenger told Channel 12 that the flydubai plane sent to collect them had not yet departed Tabuk. A dispute arose among the passengers regarding whether to wait for an Israeli rescue flight or take the flydubai plane, with some expressing fear of flying with the airline again after the previous incident. The original flight was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv when it was diverted to Saudi Arabia due to a mid-air emergency. According to an Israeli national in Tabuk, Israeli representatives have not yet contacted the passengers to inform them of any alternative evacuation plans. This incident follows a separate flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv that also turned back mid-journey.
