Netanyahu Details Daring Passenger Intervention on Flydubai Flight

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed details of a serious security incident aboard a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel, stating that one of the pilots attempted to sabotage the aircraft's systems and potentially crash it. The flight, carrying mostly Israeli passengers, was en route to Israel when the co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain. Netanyahu praised the Israeli passengers who intervened, calling them "heroes" for their bravery and quick thinking in neutralizing the assailant pilot. He recounted speaking with a passenger who described how he and a crew member managed to enter the cockpit and subdue the attacking pilot while he was attempting to sabotage the plane's systems. The prime minister has directed the security establishment to prepare for potential further threats. The Flydubai aircraft, flight FZ 1073, diverted and landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where all passengers were reported to be safe. The pilot who carried out the stabbing has been apprehended and is being interrogated by Saudi authorities. Netanyahu assured that the situation is under continuous assessment and updates will be provided.
