Police Bust Drug Labs in Residential Areas of Kiryat Haim and Kiryat Shmuel
Israeli police recently uncovered two illegal drug operations hidden within residential neighborhoods in the northern city of Kiryat Haim and Kiryat Shmuel, both part of the Haifa metropolitan area. In Kiryat Haim, officers raided a private home and discovered a hydroponic marijuana cultivation lab containing approximately 300 cannabis plants, weighing over 60 kilograms. This operation was conducted by detectives from the Zevulun station as part of the "Asher" district.
In a separate raid in Kiryat Shmuel, police found a significant quantity of various drugs suspected of being intended for distribution. This discovery included hundreds of grams of crystal meth and MDMA, over a kilogram of hashish, ecstasy pills, and electronic scales. The police described the findings as a "commercial quantity."
As a result of these operations, two suspects were arrested and are currently under investigation. The police stated that these busts were part of a "double ambush" aimed at dismantling illegal drug trade and distribution networks operating within the community.
