Police Raid Luxury Villa in Northern Israel Uncovers Large Cannabis Lab

Israeli police conducted a raid on July 12 at a luxury villa in the Migdal colony in northern Israel, revealing a large-scale cannabis cultivation laboratory. Authorities found over 420 kilograms of cannabis, advanced growing equipment, and evidence of illegal electricity connections used to power the operation without paying for electricity. During the search, police also seized documents, thousands of shekels in cash, and various tools used to run the drug lab.

Following the investigation, a 57-year-old resident of Yavne was indicted and a request was made to keep him in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings. In addition to the criminal case, the Northern District Police Commander, Major General Meir Eliyahu, issued an administrative closure order for the villa for 30 days as part of efforts to combat the use of properties for drug-related criminal activities.

The Israeli Police emphasized their ongoing commitment to aggressively fight drug cultivation, production, and distribution, aiming to protect public safety and dismantle the economic infrastructure of criminal organizations.
