IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Northern Gaza Brigade Commander
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency officially confirmed Tuesday the elimination of Azz al-Din Bak, commander of Hamas's Northern Gaza Strip Brigade. Bak was killed in an overnight strike in northern Gaza.
Bak was appointed to lead the brigade following the elimination of his predecessor, Ahmed Ghandour. Previously, he served as the brigade's intelligence officer. In his role, Bak was responsible for managing and directing the brigade's operatives and advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians.
Furthermore, Bak had been working to rebuild the operational strength of the Northern Gaza Brigade, which sustained severe damage during the ongoing conflict. His elimination is seen as a significant blow to Hamas's command structure in the area.
