Ofir Sarid, CEO of Melisron Real Estate Firm, Dies at 54
Melisron, a prominent Israeli real estate company, announced the passing of its CEO, Ofir Sarid, at the age of 54. Sarid had led the company for approximately seven years, having previously served as its CFO. He is survived by his wife and three children.
Sarid joined Melisron in 2011 as CFO, overseeing the company's financial and business operations. He was appointed CEO in October 2019. During his tenure, he was instrumental in Melisron's growth and expansion beyond traditional malls into areas like high-tech parks, offices, and residential development through the acquisition of its subsidiary, Aviv Melisron.
The company described Sarid as a respected figure in the Israeli capital market and a beloved leader by the board, management, and employees. They credited him with significantly strengthening Melisron's position as a leading real estate firm.
Melisron had announced on September 2, 2026, that Sarid was taking a medical leave of absence. Following a decline in his condition, the company announced last week that his role had concluded. Oren Hellinger, Melisron's CFO, has been appointed acting CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement.
Liora Ofer, Melisron's controlling shareholder and chairwoman, expressed deep sorrow over Sarid's premature death, remembering him not only as a talented CEO but also as a true friend and partner. She stated his contributions would continue to guide Melisron.
