Police Arrest Over 10 in Rahat Amid Family Feud and Gunfire
Over ten individuals were arrested in Rahat, a Bedouin city in the Negev, following police raids targeting hotspots of a conflict between two families that has involved shooting incidents. Video footage from the area shows vehicles driving through the city with passengers firing volleys of shots into the air for an extended period without intervention.
According to the police, forces from the Sahar unit and the southern Magav (Border Police) operated at several locations. They conducted searches and made arrests in compounds and homes belonging to the two feuding families. The police statement did not specify whether the weapons used by the shooters were confiscated.
