Israel Weather Service Forecasts Widespread Rain Through Friday
The Israel Meteorological Service has issued an encouraging forecast predicting local rainfall across wide areas of the country from now until Friday. The precipitation is expected to be concentrated primarily in northern Israel, from the Western Galilee down to the Hadera region.
Rain is also anticipated in more southerly areas, including the central coastal plain, the Sharon region, and the mountains. The peak of these rains is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, though the quantities are not projected to be particularly large.
A more significant rain system is forecast to pass through the region on Wednesday, affecting the northern and central coastal areas most noticeably. The Meteorological Service advises the public to consider this forecast when planning outdoor activities.
By Saturday, cumulative rainfall totals are expected to reach approximately 10 to 15 millimeters in the north and 5 to 10 millimeters in the central region. While overall amounts may not be high, the service notes that heavy rain could occur in short bursts.
