Israel Braces for Brief Return of Localized Rain Showers

Following a period of relatively stable weather, localized rain showers are expected to return to Israel in the coming days, primarily in the northern part of the country, from the Western Galilee to the Hadera region. The rain may also reach more southern areas, including the central coastal plain, the Sharon region, and the mountains, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday. The Israel Meteorological Service forecasts that the total rainfall amounts will not be substantial, with an accumulation of approximately 10-15 millimeters expected in the north and 5-10 millimeters in the center by Saturday. However, the service emphasizes that these cumulative amounts do not necessarily reflect the intensity of the rain at any given moment, and heavy downpours are possible over short periods.

The most significant rainfall is anticipated on Wednesday, as a somewhat more substantial weather system is projected to pass over Israel, mainly affecting the northern and central coastal areas. Concurrently, temperatures are expected to drop, with a possibility of local rain, especially in the north and along the coast. Thursday is also forecast to have partly cloudy skies with a chance of local rain, primarily along the coastal plain. In the north, the rain might continue for additional days, but it is generally expected to be localized rather than a widespread rain event.
