IDF Eliminates Hamas Sniper in Southern Gaza

The Israeli military announced Sunday that it had eliminated a Hamas sniper in southern Gaza the previous day. The individual, identified as Adi Adli Abd Ala'azar, was described by the IDF as a sniper in Hamas's military wing who had been advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and working to rebuild the organization's capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire.

The strike, carried out from the air, was intended to neutralize the immediate threat. A statement from the IDF's Southern Command indicated that forces are deployed in the area according to agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threats.

This operation is part of a broader series of targeted strikes by the IDF and Shin Bet in Gaza this month that have eliminated several senior Hamas figures. Among those killed are Ibrahim Fuzi Ismail Mahsan, commander of the Nukhba forces; Mohammed Kamel Suleiman Mohsen, a terror operative; Mohammed Abu Alwan, head of Hamas's finance department; Mohammed Suleiman Bayouk, a Hamas commander in Khan Yunis involved in the October 7th attack; Nael Abu Ubeid, commander of the Rafah Brigade and head of operations; Ahmed Al-Batch, commander of the Jabalia battalion; Rafat Abu Zamar, a company commander; Mohammed Khader Fahmi Ajjour, involved in weapons production; Ali Abu Nada and Abd Al-Rahim Ahid Khawa, engineers in weapons production; and Mohammed Abd Al-Salam Al-Yazouri, commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade.
