IDF Eliminates Hamas Sniper in Gaza Airstrike

The Israeli military announced on Monday that an airstrike in southern Gaza eliminated Adi Adli Abd Ala'azar, identified as a sniper in Hamas's military wing. According to the IDF, Ala'azar had recently been advancing terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians and was working to rebuild the organization's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.

The military stated that the operation was aimed at removing an immediate threat. The IDF clarified that it will continue to act to remove any immediate threats. This targeted killing follows a series of similar operations by the IDF and Shin Bet against key Hamas operatives in recent days.

Among those previously eliminated were Ibrahim Fuzi Ismail Mahsan, a commander in Hamas's elite Nukhba force, and Muhammad Kamel Suleiman Mohsen, both involved in advancing firing plans and restoring Hamas's military systems. Hassan Mahmoud Ziam, who participated in the October 7th massacre and held hostages, was also neutralized, as was Adham Zabhi Salim Ziara.

Additionally, the IDF confirmed the elimination of Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Jabein, who was involved in holding nine Israeli hostages. In Nuseirat, security forces killed Sahar Nadal Latifi Sakar, a global jihad operative who used a motorcycle involved in the abduction of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or.

Beyond eliminating operatives, the IDF is conducting extensive operations against Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza border area. Following an incident where an engineering vehicle triggered a roadside bomb, the army responded with widespread strikes. Combat teams from the Givati Brigade and the Yahalom unit destroyed a strategic two-kilometer-long underground tunnel in southern Gaza designed to target forces, days after uncovering a 600-meter tunnel in the central camps.
