Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, provided an update on his son Neriah's condition, stating that his life remains in critical danger. Leiter shared that while there have been some encouraging signs, the family is clinging to hope.
Neriah Leiter was severely injured last week in a car-ramming attack on Route 443. The ambassador expressed his faith in the power of prayer, believing that God hears prayers and can bring healing even in seemingly impossible situations. He also requested prayers for the full recovery of all those seriously injured by terrorists, calling them heroes who ensure perseverance in the fight against those who sow murder and destruction.
The attack occurred when a terrorist rammed his vehicle into a police car belonging to the Judea and Samaria District Police, where Neriah was serving on a joint IDF and police mission. Neriah sustained severe head injuries and was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he underwent a complex, life-saving brain surgery that lasted several hours.
Neriah Leiter is the brother of Sergeant Major (Res.) Moshe Yedidya Leiter, who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip in November 2023.
