Israeli Ambassador to US Updates on Son's Critical Condition After Terror Attack

Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Michael (Yechiel) Leiter, provided an update Sunday evening on the condition of his son, Neria, who was critically injured in a vehicular terror attack on Route 443 last week. "My family and I thank everyone who is praying for us and supporting us during this time. Neria's life is still hanging by a thread, but we have seen some encouraging signs and are holding onto them with hope," Leiter wrote on his X account.

Leiter expressed his belief in the power of prayer and divine healing, stating, "We believe in the power of prayer, that God hears prayers and can heal even when healing seems impossible." He also requested prayers for the full recovery of all others seriously injured in the attack, adding, "Neria and his friends are the heroes who ensure we can persevere and win the struggle against those who sow murder and destruction. This is a struggle for the future of civilization, no less."

Leiter's son, Neria, was wounded in a ramming attack that occurred the previous week. He has undergone several surgeries since the incident. As of Saturday, Shaare Zedek Medical Center reported that there had been no significant change in Neria Leiter's condition.
