Toddler Critically Injured in Jerusalem Ride-On Toy Accident
A toddler, approximately three years old, sustained critical injuries on Monday while riding a "bimba," a type of ride-on toy, on Avraham Idelson Street in Jerusalem. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical teams responded to the scene, providing initial treatment before transporting the child to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the city.
The child was conscious but suffering from a significant head injury upon arrival of the paramedics. MDA senior medic Binyamin Mandelzon and medic Esther Mandelzon described finding the child conscious with a serious head wound. They administered life-saving treatment at the scene, and after initial stabilization, he was evacuated by a mobile intensive care unit to Shaare Zedek.
MDA reported that the child's condition was classified as serious at the time of transport.
