Freed Hostage Liri Albag Reacts to Hamas Commander's Elimination
Freed Israeli hostage Liri Albag expressed satisfaction following the elimination of a Hamas commander involved in her captivity. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced on Tuesday that they had killed Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Jaberin, a commander in Hamas's military wing, in an airstrike in northern Gaza last Tuesday.
According to the security agencies, Jaberin was involved in holding nine hostages: Ziv Berman, Eitan Mor, Liri Albag, Agam Berger, Matan Angrest, Gali Berman, Omri Miran, Keith Segal, and Alon Ahl. Albag stated that Jaberin held her and Agam Berger for nearly a year.
Albag shared her reaction on social media, calling it a "crazy full circle." She wrote, "When good news like this arrives, you can't hide the smile. I have so much to tell about him, and I could talk for hours about the suffering he put us through, but today I don't want to give him even another word. Just smile a big smile and tell him, rot in hell, you scoundrel. How great that you are no longer here."
Albag also referenced a conversation she claims to have had with Jaberin while in captivity, writing, "Remember our argument about who would reach hell first? Nice to know we were right about that too."
