Freed Hostage Celebrates Hamas Terrorist's Elimination

Liri Albag, who was held hostage by Hamas for nearly a year, celebrated the elimination of her captor, Muhammad Jabein, on Sunday. She expressed her joy on social media, calling it a "crazy full circle" and stating, "Rot in hell, you scoundrel." Albag noted that while she could detail the suffering Jabein inflicted on her and fellow hostage Agam Berger, she chose instead to focus on his demise. She recalled a past argument with him about who would reach hell first, adding, "Nice to know we were right."

Jabein was a commander in Hamas's military wing and was involved in holding nine hostages, including Albag and Berger. The Shin Bet and the IDF confirmed his elimination in a targeted airstrike in northern Gaza last week. Security officials stated that Jabein had recently been working to advance terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians and was attempting to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.

The strike was conducted to neutralize the threat he posed, and Israeli forces remain deployed in the area. Albag and Berger were among the hostages held by Jabein for approximately ten months.
