Hostage Liri Elbag Shares Harrowing Captivity Story in Public Event

Liri Elbag, who was held captive by Hamas in Gaza for 477 days, is set to share her experiences in a public event titled "Returning to Breathe." The event, coinciding with the third anniversary of the October 7th attacks, will take place on Monday, October 12th, at 8:00 PM at HOT CINEMA in the Ofer Grand Canyon mall in Petah Tikva. Elbag, who was abducted from the Nachal Oz outpost on October 7, 2023, and released on January 25, 2025, will recount the initial moments of terror, her time in captivity, and her subsequent rehabilitation in Israel. She will be joined by her father, Eli Elbag, who actively campaigned for her release and will also share his perspective on the ordeal. "This is a fascinating and special evening that invites the audience to pause for a moment, listen, feel, and be exposed to an extraordinary personal story, about the journey from captivity back to life, and about a single breath that symbolizes a new beginning," said Naomi Siman Tov, CEO of the mall. Elbag was released along with fellow hostages Noa Argamani, Karina Ariev, and Daniela Gilboa.
