Pizza Festival in Rishon LeZion Features Top Israeli Chefs

Rishon LeZion is set to host its "City of Pizza" festival, a major culinary event running from September 28-30 at the Colony Garden within the larger "Festival Rishon LeZion" complex. The festival will showcase a variety of pizzas, from classic to gourmet, prepared by leading Israeli chefs.

Headlining the event are chefs Tomer Agai, Oren Asido, and Avi Biton, who will each present special pizza creations. Asido will offer a Neapolitan pizza with caviar and artichoke cream, priced at 25 shekels per slice or 45 shekels for a personal tray. Biton is preparing a pizza with tomato sauce, eggplant, and stracciatella cheese, also at 25 shekels per slice or 45 shekels for a personal tray. Tomer Agai, in collaboration with Tony Vespah, will present a quarter pizza for 31 shekels or a large tray for 59 shekels.

Beyond the chef specials, attendees can enjoy classic pizzas like "Sunny Pizza" for 10 shekels a slice and tropical pizzas. The festival also includes a diverse food court with various stalls, bars serving cocktails, cafes, Italian ice cream, and tiramisu. For children, there will be dedicated menu items and activities.

Dessert options include a "Magnum Bun" filled with magnum ice cream and "Dubai" toffee for 29 shekels. The festival grounds will also feature cocktail bars and coffee shops.

Entertainment is a key component, with live performances scheduled. Amir Benayoun will host Nissim Sarusi, Harel Skaat will host Gali Atari, and a tribute evening will be held for Yardena Arazi on her 75th birthday. The festival opens daily at 6:00 PM, and admission is free.
