Top Israeli Chefs and Groups Launch Major Restaurant Projects in Rishon LeZion by 2027

Leading Israeli chefs and restaurant groups including FOMO, Nono, Ruti Brodho, and Guy Gamzu are set to open new dining venues in Rishon LeZion, marking it as the next major culinary destination beyond Tel Aviv and Kiryat Ono. By 2027, several large food complexes and high-profile restaurants will debut in the city, attracting significant investment and expanding the local gastronomic scene.

Guy Gamzu and his partners, Mosh Bodnik and Itzik Hangal, are negotiating to open a new Asian restaurant in Rishon LeZion’s Lachish 2 area, where Shake Shack and Eden Ben Zaken’s Lucena are already established. Gamzu’s group also operates Helena, Chakuli, and ASA Izakaya in Tel Aviv and is planning another venue at Alma Beach.

In the G City complex in western Rishon LeZion, a new Italian restaurant by the FOMO group, owned by restaurateur Shimi Schwartz and chef Shahar Barnea, is expected to open. This grand Italian eatery will resemble their Café Italia in Netanya. Additionally, a new branch of Mitbar Burger will launch in the same complex.

Ruti Brodho will develop a 1,500-square-meter lifestyle and culinary complex in the new RISHO area at the Alef complex, featuring coffee bars, bakeries, and delicatessens. The Nono-Mimi group will also open a new Nono branch and an additional branch of Giraffe there.

Despite ongoing closures in the restaurant sector, such as Rothenberg, Satya, and O, strong groups continue to expand aggressively, investing millions in large-scale projects. This trend suggests a shift in Israel’s dining landscape, potentially reducing the need to travel to Tel Aviv for high-quality food experiences.
