Two Men Arrested in Tel Aviv After E-Scooter Chase, Found with Loaded Gun
Police in southern Tel Aviv and Border Police officers apprehended two suspects riding an electric scooter late last night following a pursuit. The incident began when officers observed the pair committing traffic violations. Upon noticing the police, the suspects attempted to flee, running red lights and driving against traffic, endangering themselves and other road users.
The chase concluded when Border Police units successfully blocked their escape route and detained them. A search of one of the suspects revealed a loaded handgun in his pants pocket. Police stated the weapon was ready for use and that the arrest prevented a serious violent incident.
The suspects, aged 19 and 36, were taken to the southern Tel Aviv station for questioning. Authorities intend to request an extension of their detention from the court.
