A 16-year-old boy was indicted today, Monday, after police found him carrying a loaded Glock pistol with a magazine and live ammunition. The case began about two weeks ago, when Northern District police spotted a rider on an electric bicycle without a helmet and without a license plate.
Officers stopped him for inspection and discovered he was only 16. During the search, they noticed a suspicious item on his body, and were shocked to find that he was armed with a Glock handgun. The minor was arrested immediately and taken for questioning.
At the end of the investigation, the Haifa District Attorney's Office filed a serious indictment in the Haifa Juvenile District Court for possession and carrying of a weapon and magazine with bullets. The prosecution also asked the court to keep him in custody until the end of the legal proceedings.
The report also noted that only last week, in the same area, another unusual case was filed against a 16-year-old who allegedly broke into and stole his family safe after his parents refused to give him pocket money.
