Israeli Police Chase Unlicensed Scooter Rider Through Pardes Hanna, Ending in Crash and Arrest

A 27-year-old scooter rider sparked a dangerous police chase on Highway 65 and through the streets of Pardes Hanna after fleeing a routine document check by the national motorcycle patrol unit. Ignoring officers' commands to stop, the suspect ran multiple red lights, endangering pedestrians and other road users. The pursuit ended when the rider lost control, crashed on the sidewalk, and was immediately apprehended by officers who restrained him on the ground.

Helmet camera footage from the police shows the arrest and the suspect's embarrassed response when asked why he fled: "Just... stupid." The rider, a resident of Kfar Zemer, was found to be driving without a valid license for the scooter, marking his second offense of this kind. Following investigation, he was released under restrictive conditions including five days of house arrest, and his scooter was administratively impounded for 30 days.

The police emphasized that this incident occurred amid the "Committed to Life" national campaign by the Traffic Department and the Licensing Authority, aimed at reducing deadly road offenses through increased traffic patrols nationwide. Officers confirmed the suspect did not require medical treatment after the crash and maintained control of the situation throughout the event.
