Gaza Strike Kills Alleged Hamas Member Involved in Noa Argamani Abduction

Saher Sakr, identified as one of the individuals involved in the abduction of Noa Argamani during the October 7, 2023, massacre, was reportedly killed in an airstrike on Saturday in the Nousseirat camp in central Gaza. Palestinian media reported that Sakr was the driver of the motorcycle on which Argamani was forcibly taken to Gaza after her kidnapping from the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re'im. Images of Argamani on the motorcycle, while her then-boyfriend Avinatan Or was taken separately, became iconic representations of the October 7 attacks.

The death of Saher Sakr has not yet been officially confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) or the Shin Bet security agency. Noa Argamani was rescued on June 8, 2024, in a major Israeli operation in Nousseirat, alongside Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv. The operation was named "Arnon" in honor of Arnon Zmora, an Israeli police counter-terrorism unit member who was fatally wounded during the raid. Avinatan Or, who had been held captive for over two years, was released on October 13, 2025, after 738 days.

In recent months, Israeli security forces have intensified efforts to locate terrorists identified as having infiltrated Israel on October 7 and participated in the massacres and abductions. Some are also believed to be involved in Hamas's efforts to rebuild its capabilities in Gaza. A joint intelligence and operational task force is responsible for identifying these individuals, tracking their movements, and assessing strike possibilities. Israeli forces maintain regularly updated target lists as new information about the October 7 perpetrators is gathered.
