Teenager Drowns Off Ashkelon Beach After Extensive Search
A 17-year-old boy has died after drowning near the Delilah Beach in Ashkelon, Israeli emergency services announced on Monday morning. The incident occurred after a search that lasted for many hours.
On Sunday, Magen David Adom paramedics responded to a report of three individuals drowning near the beach. They transported a 24-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition and a 17-year-old boy in mild condition. A second 17-year-old boy was reported missing in the water.
Following an extensive search operation by emergency forces, the body of the missing 17-year-old was discovered at the water's edge on Monday morning. Paramedics found him unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. After performing medical examinations, they were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
