Three Drown at Ashkelon Beach; One Missing, Two Hospitalized
Three individuals drowned on Friday at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon, with rescue forces successfully extracting two of them from the water. One victim, a 24-year-old male, was found unconscious and in serious condition, while a 17-year-old male was rescued in light condition. Both were transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon by Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical services.
MDA paramedics described arriving at the scene with a specialized 4x4 ambulance and providing initial treatment, including ventilation assistance for the unconscious victim. They were informed of a third person still missing in the water and prepared to offer further medical aid.
Police and additional emergency and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and initiated sea and shoreline searches for the missing individual. Authorities urged the public to adhere to the instructions of lifeguards and security forces and to avoid entering the sea at unpatrolled beaches or during dangerous conditions.
