IDF Boosts Forces and Readiness Ahead of Sukkot Holiday
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is implementing a significant reinforcement of forces and increased readiness across all sectors in preparation for the upcoming Sukkot holiday. This directive from the Chief of Staff follows the operational responses during the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur holidays.
Regular battalions and brigade headquarters will remain on heightened alert throughout all regional commands until the end of the holiday period to ensure rapid deployment if necessary. Several combat companies will be assigned to bolster various fronts during Sukkot, with additional companies held in reserve. To enhance troop numbers, most soldiers in brigade training bases will remain on base during the holiday and participate in readiness missions.
Furthermore, the Central Command area will receive additional dedicated forces, including elements from the Maglan unit. Joint meetings and discussions have been held between various security agencies to ensure full coordination, preparedness, and synchronization among all organizations.
