IDF Bolsters Forces Across All Fronts Ahead of Sukkot Holiday

In anticipation of the Sukkot holiday and following special preparations for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has completed a broad reinforcement plan for its forces across various sectors, as directed by the Chief of Staff. This heightened readiness includes increasing troop presence on the ground and strengthening defense and alert systems. Regular army battalions will remain on alert in all commands until the end of the holiday period, ready for rapid deployment, alongside reserve brigade commands. During Sukkot, additional combat companies will be deployed to reinforce different sectors, with further companies designated as operational reserves. These forces will maintain their deployment through the intermediate days of the holiday and until the second festival day. In a move to ensure operational availability and readiness, most soldiers stationed at brigade training bases will remain at their bases throughout the holiday. Central Command will receive additional forces, including soldiers from the Maglan unit, to bolster operational response in the region. Multi-organizational discussions were also held prior to the holiday to ensure the readiness, coordination, and synchronization among all security bodies as part of the overall preparations for Sukkot.
