Police Foil Illegal Camel Race in Negev Desert
Israeli police successfully thwarted an illegal camel race planned to take place in a live-fire zone near Route 222 in the Bir Hadaj area of the Negev desert. Officers from the Shagav Shalom station, along with combatants from the Yoav unit and Border Police, raided the site with aerial support.
Upon the arrival of the forces, participants fled the scene. Guided by the aerial unit, two minors who attempted to escape and hide in bushes were located. The two were detained for questioning, and the camel was confiscated.
