Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Island Raises $400 Million at $6.4 Billion Valuation
Israeli cybersecurity company Island announced Thursday it has raised $400 million in a new funding round, valuing the company at $6.4 billion. This valuation represents a significant increase from its previous funding round in March 2025, when it raised $250 million at a $4.8 billion valuation.
The funding round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia Capital and Insight Partners. Island, founded by CEO Mike Fey and CTO Dan Amiga, pioneered the enterprise browser category in 2020, integrating security and control tools directly into the browser for organizational use.
Island has expanded its platform to monitor the activities of artificial intelligence (AI) agents within organizations. Fey emphasized the need for oversight, stating, "AI agents, just like human employees, need permissions, boundaries, and accountability to operate safely within an organization." Fey previously served as president of Symantec, and Amiga is an alumnus of the elite IDF Unit 8200.
The company currently employs approximately 1,000 people, with 400 of them based at its development center in Tel Aviv. Island's growth trajectory has previously been compared to that of Talon, another Israeli enterprise browser company that was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for around $625 million in 2023.
