Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Island Raises $400 Million at $6.4 Billion Valuation
Israeli cybersecurity company Island announced today that it has raised $400 million in a funding round led by Evolution Equity Partners, valuing the company at $6.4 billion. This valuation more than doubles the company's worth from its previous funding round approximately two years ago and is $1.4 billion higher than its valuation in July 2025. The new capital will be used to accelerate Island's operations and product development.
This latest investment brings the total funding raised by Island to $1.13 billion. The round included participation from Prysm Capital, Cyberstarts, Sequoia, Coatue Management, Insight Partners, J.P. Morgan, Alta Park Capital, Georgian, G Squared, and Squarepoint. Additionally, CrowdStrike co-founder and cybersecurity entrepreneur Dmitri Alperovitch made a personal investment in the company.
Founded six years ago by Dan Amiga, an alumnus of the IDF's Unit 8200, and Mike Fey, formerly president of Symantec and CTO of McAfee, Island initially developed a secure enterprise browser offering advanced data security, information system and network control, data protection, and workflow automation. The company has since expanded its offerings to include an AI-based control environment that provides customers with transparency, control, and documentation of employee and AI agent activities.
Island reports that millions of users interact with its products daily. Its client base spans major financial institutions, global insurance companies, hospitals, pharmaceutical and biotech firms, government and defense agencies, energy and critical infrastructure companies, leading tech firms, and retail networks. Dan Amiga stated in an interview that large organizations are purchasing Island's solutions over those from Google or Microsoft, highlighting the company's success in creating a new category and challenging established tech giants with its secure enterprise browser.
Richard Seewald, founder and managing partner at Evolution Equity Partners, commented that organizations are re-evaluating their fundamental work architectures. He noted Island's unique advantage in observing and controlling user and agent interactions with applications and data across all work environments, emphasizing the company's proven ability to create new categories, replace legacy technologies, and drive business transformation for its clients.
